Time is the only resource that isn’t renewable. Once a moment has passed, it can never come back. For all of us, this means we need to be intentional about how we spend our time every day.

What if I were to tell you that there IS a way to buy yourself more time?

Spending a little quality time now, working on improving your health and fitness, will buy you lots of quality time down the road. Instead of spending time in a doctor’s office wondering if you’ll ever feel better, you’ll be able to go for a walk with your family. Instead of watching from the sidelines while your kids play, you can be part of the action. Instead of spending time sick in bed, or stressing out about how you’re going to pay your medical bills, you can enjoy the simple pleasures that good health brings every single day. It’s easy to take good health for granted, until it’s no longer there.

A few intentional hours a week of quality work now, can buy you years of better living later. We have the means to safeguard ourselves against a slough of chronic diseases and pain. It’s not rocket science! But it does take time and honest effort. We need to move, and we need to eat well. While it may be fairly simple in concept, we realize that executing these things can be hard, especially when you’re on your own.

The cool part is, in the right place with the right people, that hard work doesn’t feel so hard. When you’re around other folks who value their health; who aren’t afraid to do hard things; who see the long game; who help you keep going when it gets tough — improving your health is really, truly fun.

Nobody ever looks back on their life and says, “Wow, I really spent too much time improving myself. I should have watched the entire series of The Office a few more times.”
