COVID Updates

We are currently open for in-person training! Due to MN COVID protocols, we have limited capacity in our group classes, but we are accepting new group class members. We are following all spacing, cleaning, and mask protocols as required by local government.

As of now, 100% of our members and staff are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Until further notice, proof of COVID vaccination will be required for new members.

We are also open for personal training! Our brand new private personal training studio (we lovingly call it The Annex) is ready for use, so our scheduling availability for PT has greatly increased.

Our Vision

The fitness industry can be a harsh, unwelcoming place to many groups of people: Women, people of color, those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, folks with little or no athletic background, or who are “too big” or “too small” to fit within the preferred body type of typical fitness culture, or think they’re too old to make changes. 

These humans deserve a place to work out without judgement, without the constant push to compete with others, without feeling like they’re less than anyone else in the room. Where their value is not determined by their workout scores or heaviest lifts, or how “fit” they look. Where they can just be, and feel at home. 

We strive to be that place. 

We welcome anyone who is on board with these values and our vision (or at least willing to come with an open mind), whether you’re part of these marginalized communities or not.

Personal Training

Everybody starts with one on one coaching. Whether you’re brand new to functional fitness, or a five year veteran — you will benefit greatly from individual attention.

Group Training

Group classes are a fun way to push yourself, meet new friends, and have a ton of fun! All our classes are run by dedicated coaches who actually COACH — not just read off things from the board and say “Go.”

Nutrition

Nutrition is absolutely crucial when we’re trying to improve and maximize our health. We offer personalized nutrition coaching, InBody scans, and other tools to help you understand the total picture of your health.

PROGRAMMING

We’ll you with provided top-notch programming that is doable even if you don’t have a single piece of equipment! Includes video movement demos, daily workout walkthroughs, and multiple versions of the workout to suit any fitness level or equipment limitations.

COMMUNITY

During these times when we’re forced to stay home, finding ways to connect with other humans is vital. Our group is positive, thoughtful, friendly, and amazingly supportive. You don’t have to do this alone! Through our daily Zoom video classes, you’ll get to see friendly faces and share in the experience with you new home gym friends.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Our coaches care about you. We’ve committed to doing 1 on 1 video check ins with every client, every week. We’ll help you move better, feel better, and stay motivated!

Our Location

Our facility is unique among St. Paul’s fitness community. We have a private studio where we conduct our classes, as well as a small private personal training studio. As a member of the CoMotion Center for Movement, we also have access to a large 15,000 sqft. open gym space with a wide variety of equipment including ninja warrior gear, turf, Concept2 rowers & SkiErgs, Assault bikes, and more.  CoMotion is 40,000 sqft. of health, fitness, and arts businesses all with the common goal to get people moving. Boxing, ballet, drumming, Zumba, and functional fitness all coexist together in the same building! There’s truly something for everyone here.

Chris Lomen
OWNER, HEAD COACH, CF-L2, PN1

Chris has been coaching fitness for eight years, and a gym owner for seven years. He is a CF Level 2 trainer, CF Endurance coach, and has attended a variety of speciality seminars and continuing education opportunities to keep fine-tuning his craft. Chris is also a Precision Nutrition Certified Level 1 coach.

He loves burpees, but please don’t hold that against him.

Alison Monday
COACH, CF-L1, 200 RYT, PN1

Alison loves combining her experience as a trauma-informed yoga teacher with functional fitness. She is also a Precision Nutrition Certified Level 1 coach.

She loves deadlifts — maybe a little too much.

Kathie Smith
COACH, TBC L1

Kathie found fitness later in life yet is enthusiastic about helping others tap into their abilities and reach their goals.  An avid trail runner, Kathie is always eager to take on an endurance event. She is a certified First Degree Coach through Two Brain Coaching, attended The Gymnastic Course and keeps striving to further her education as a coach.
